Just as I finished writing about “The Wolf of Wall Street” I saw another outlet say that it won’t be Martin Scorsese’s next film after “Hugo Cabret.”

Lot’s of reports.

But now there is talk (from the site The Playlist) that a film that Scorsese has been attached to since 2006, called “Silence” will take precedence.

Based on the novel by Shusaku Endo, the plot tells the story of two Jesuit priests who move to Japan to spread the word of Christianity and are met with violence and abuse.

The film is still set to star Daniel Day-Lewis (whom Scorsese worked with on Gangs of New York), Benicio Del Toro and Gael Garcia Bernal.

So who knows what Scorsese will tackle next, but we all know he has his hands full.

And of course we won’t forget about “The Irishman” that is suppose to star Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci.
