The sequel to G.I. Joe wasn’t something many people were happy to hear about, but it seems like Jon M. Chu, who directed the first, is doing all he can to help make this more of a success.
The biggest “offseason” news for the film was the addition of Dwayne Johnson who was coming off Fast Five, where he will assume the role of Roadblock.
Currently, the movie has Channing Tatum, Dwayne Johnson, Ray Stevenson, RZA, Adrianne Palicki, Elodie Yung, and D.J. Cotrona.
But that’s not all.
Bruce Willis is currently in talks to star in the film as well, and if it happens he will clearly be the main attraction.
Should Willis join, he would play the role of General Joe Colton, or “the original Joe.” He first appeared in the 80′s comic series, where he started the group that fights all sorts of villains.
We also get out first look at Johnson as Roadblock, where he is carrying a large automatic weapon.
G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation begins shooting in Louisiana at the end of this month and will open on June 29th, 2012.
