Whatever you do, make it a point to see this film later this month.

Based on true events, and a major hit at Sundance: Compliance is set in a midwestern fast food restaurant, in which a young employee, played by Drema Walker, is accused of theft by a voice on the phone claiming to be a cop. The manager of the restaurant, played by Ann Dowd, is pressured to take action against the young woman, and things get out of hand.

Hit the jump for the insane trailer.

It’s parts Phonebooth, and in some strange way parts Saw.

The film hits theaters in limited release on August 17th,2012

Definitely has some elements of “Phonebooth” in it and I get where you see some “Saw” in there. Especially when it seems like the protagonist has so much authority over the antagonist, a la Jigsaw’s character in the “Saw” series. I love indie films. Glad you’re including them as part of the site and not worldwide releases. Will look forward to its release and hopefully an ATC review! Keep up the good work.

I meant to say the antagonist has so much authority over the protagonist. My mistake. Great trailer. Gonna spread the word on this gem.
