After being left out in the cold for The Hangover Part II, Heather Graham is set to return for the third film.
Graham is far from an Academy Award-nominated actress, but she always brings a warmth and sense of humor to her roles. She was a bright spot in The Hangover, and it’s a shame that they didn’t bring her back for the second film.
Hit the jump for more details about the wolf pack’s next adventure and how Graham fits in.
In the first film, Graham played Jade, a stripper, the mother of Carlos and ends up getting Ed Helms’ mother’s Holocaust ring. She didn’t get the invite to Thailand for the second movie, but will be making the trip to wherever the third film takes place. It’s not clear how she’ll factor into the plot, but hopefully Galifianakis doesn’t object to it.
I hope they go with a new location and no memory loss this time. You can have a really bad hangover and still remember what you did the night before.
We previously reported that the next film could involve Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Justin Bartha breaking Zach Galifianakis’ character out of a mental institute. To me that would be a grand slam since the last one was a crude rehash of the plot of the first film. Bradley Cooper has said as much:
I think that we adhered to the formula in the second one, for those who’ve seen it, and the third one, I think, which would close the whole trilogy.
Variety reports that director Todd Phillips is not done casting and that he is “expected to add several well-known actors in cameo roles.”
