The sequel to Kick-Ass has been rumored for years, but Matthew Vaughn is finally doing it.
With Vaughn behind the next X-Men film, he’ll have a rough schedule and have to juggle X-Men: Days of Future Past with the Kick Ass sequel.
The good news is much of the original cast is coming back, along with new additions. Hit the jump to get more details.
The first big piece of news is Christopher Mintz-Plasse who played Red Mist in the first film is coming back in a much larger role. The film will once again focus on his battle with Aaron Johnson’s titular character Kick-Ass.
Chloe Moretz, and Nicolas Cage are returning, with new additions of John Leguizamo, Donald Faison and Yancy Butler.
Production begins this September in Toronto and New York, with a release date scheduled for next year.
