A few weeks ago Daniel Day-Lewis or should I say President Lincoln emerged in the first official look at Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln.
Now we get another shot of DDL, this time in the form of a poster.
The black and white motif certainly fits the bill, but it’s a tad bland and timid. Hit the jump to check it out.
According to EW the film will document the last four months of Lincoln’s life, including his efforts to abolish slavery.
Here is what director Spielberg had to say about Day-Lewis and how he was able to capture Lincoln:
“Lincoln had a very, very complicated – and at the same time, extremely clear — inner life,” Spielberg said. “He thought things out. He talked things out. He argued both sides of every issue. And he was very careful in making any decision. As a matter of fact, his opponents and his enemies criticized him often for being impossibly slow to a decision.”
The film also stars Sally Field, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Tommy Lee Jones, James Spader, John Hawkes, Michael Stuhlbarg, David Strathairn, Walton Goggins, David Oyelowo, Tim Blake Nelson, Bruce McGill, Jackie Earle Haley, Lee Pace, and Jared Harris.
Lincoln hits theaters on November 9th, 2012 lets hope we see a trailer very soon.
