Some actors never stop working. There are no breaks, there are no lulls in their careers and we never sit around asking “when the hell are they going to be in a movie again?”
Michael Fassbender fits that bill to a T.
Currently filming Twelve Years a Slave by Steve McQueen, and Ridley Scott’s massive drama The Counselor, Fassbender’s plate is starting to overflow. But that is only a good thing for us movie lovers.
Word is trickling down that Fassbender is in talks to star in Jame Got a Gun, a western that currently is being led by the amazing Natalie Portman. Hit the jump for more details.
This is a dream duo in my eyes. Portman is my favorite actress, and she’s taken time off in light of her recent pregnancy and birth of baby boy.
Fassbender who had a tremendous 2011 most notably with an Oscar-like performance in Shame, already had a stunning role in 2012 with Prometheus.
According to Vulture, the Lynne Ramsay western centers around “a woman whose outlaw husband returns home barely alive and riddled with bullet wounds. She is forced to reach out to an ex-lover and ask if he will help defend her farm when her husband’s gang eventually tracks him down to finish the job.”
Fassbender would play said ex-lover who teams up with Portman’s character.
Ramsay previously directed the surprisingly well received We Need to Talk About Kevin. Lets hope Fassbender signs on the dotted line and this film comes to life sooner rather than later.
