Well it’s actually happening, the studio has confirmed, everyone else is confirmed, we have a director and now…bombshell.
According to Latino Review, Harrison Ford, the man who played Han Solo will reprise his role for the upcoming new Star Wars: Episode VII.
With J.J. Abrams set to direct the film we now can start putting pieces together. Rumors have been rampant for months about this project – Abrams himself last December denied directing the film because he said he’d “rather be in the audience not knowing what was coming, rather than being involved in the minutiae of making the film.”
Guess Kathleen Kennedy changed his mind.
So with the man behind the Star Trek franchise and now Star Wars future, we know Han Solo is returning his his truest form. I guess it would be a pretty tall task to replace Ford, glad they won’t have to.
Other things we know about the project is Michael Arndt is writing the screenplay for Episode VII, while Lawrence Kasdan and Simon Kinberg are writing screenplays for other Star Wars films either sequels to VII or spinoffs.
Now we wait for Star Wars: Episode VII to hit theaters in 2015.
