Listen…Marvel, I’ll play Batman for 1/3 of what you’re rumored to be giving Christian Bale.
I think that’s fair.
Christian Bale is Batman. That’s for sure. But he’s said a bunch of times since The Dark Knight Rises wrapped that he doesn’t want to play the character again. And the only way he’ll think about coming back is if Nolan is directing.
During Comic Con we found out the sequel to Man of Steel will be a Batman and Superman film directed by Zack Snyder.
The Sun Newspaper is reporting the studio, which will release Zack Snyder‘s Man of Steel follow-up Batman vs. Superman in 2015, has offered the Oscar-winning actor 40 million pounds to play Batman once again.
That works out to about $60 million.
The Sun is a tabloid so take all this with a grain of salt.
But who turns down $60 million?
Rumors on casting have been rampant, most have said Synder wants to cast an older Bruce Wayne.
Every Batman fan would love for Bale to come back and a Bale vs Cavill film would be as epic as the title and prospective fight scene in the film.
That…and the fact that it no doubt would shatter record all over the box office. So theoretically the $60 million they are offering Bale would be a drop in the bucket for the studio.
